For example, he or she may give a speech, read passages from religious texts, and signal when the exchange of vows will take place. It is important that this officiant is organized, an excellent public speaker, and someone who can meet with couples and truly understand what they want for this wedding. An officiant really is the person who sets the tone for a wedding ceremony. They are the one who guides the events and can make transitions that much more smooth. Really, a wedding officiant is the glue of a ceremony: the right one can make this event run that much more smoothly and make it that much more memorable.
