Wedding Officiant Training

wedding officiantOne of the most important members of a wedding ceremony is the wedding officiant. This person will guide wedding guests through each of the events that make up the ceremony. For example, he or she may give a speech, read passages from religious texts, and signal when the exchange of vows will take place. It is important that this officiant is organized, an excellent public speaker, and someone who can meet with couples and truly understand what they want for this wedding. An officiant really is the person who sets the tone for a wedding ceremony. They are the one who guides the events and can make transitions that much more smooth. Really, a wedding officiant is the glue of a ceremony: the right one can make this event run that much more smoothly and make it that much more memorable. This is why it is so important that the officiant have the proper experience and officiant training to really pull this event off and make it something special.

The following informational articles are meant to provide a basic guide and beginner’s officiant training to wedding ministers performing wedding ceremonies, and to couples who are researching what type of wedding ceremony they are most interested in.  There are a wide array of religious and non-denominational options given.
